How to Get Pets in CookieRun Classic

Primary Source: Egg Hatching

The Get Pets screen is your main acquisition path. Common Eggs cost 1 crystal but overwhelmingly yield C-grade Pets. Rare Eggs at 10 crystals improve B and A rates. Extra Rare Eggs at 20 crystals are the only efficient path to S-grade Pets.

Hatch during rate-up events when Devsisters boosts specific Pet probabilities. These events coincide with new Cookie releases and anniversary celebrations.

Flash Sale and Crystal Shop

The rotating 99-crystal flash sale features one S-grade Pet daily. Veterans with near-complete collections see this often. New players should ignore it until their Extra Rare egg strategy is established.

Starter Package includes White Gold Drop — a Pet unavailable through eggs. Evaluate the full package contents against 20-crystal egg math before purchasing.

Event and Objective Pets

Invite Event grants Gold Drop at milestone tiers. This permanent event is the largest non-hatch Pet source.

Tower of Frozen Waves awards Frozen Wave Drop at 300 milestone points. Special dungeons occasionally add objective Pets during limited events.

Expired event Pets like Brown Balloon may return during anniversary reruns. No confirmed return schedule exists for most limited Pets.

Efficient Collection Strategy

Phase 1: Hatch Extra Rare eggs until you have Wishing Star, Coin Scale, and Brain Gum. Max each to level 8.

Phase 2: Target Jelly Scale, Lucky Dice, and Flowercopter for score and League.

Phase 3: Fill collection gaps for combination bonuses and achievement rewards. Use Rare eggs for B-grade fill-ins.

Never hatch Common eggs except for daily mission completion. The 1-crystal cost is better saved toward Extra Rare pulls.
